was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Gaz Metro in
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Brochu was Executive Vice
President, Quebec Distribution from November 2005 to February 2007
and was responsible for all gas distribution activities. She joined
Gaz Métro in 1997 as Vice President, Business Development. In 2003,
she was appointed Vice President, Customers and Gas Supply. Ms.
Brochu began her career in 1987 as a Financial Analyst at SOQUIP.
She also held the positions of Assistant to the President, from 1990
to 1992, and Vice President, Development, from 1992 to 1997.
Nordahl Brue has
been a Director of Green Mountain Power Corporation since 1992, and
currently serves as its Vice Chairman. He serves as Chair of the
Boards of Franklin Foods Inc., a food processing company, and PKC
Corporation, a health care software developer.
He was Chair
and Chief Executive Officer of Bruegger’s Corp. (restaurants) from
1997 to 2002. He is a Director of Vermont Electric Power Company,
Inc., Vermont Broadband Council, and Vermont Public Radio, a Member
of the Vermont Governor's Council of Environmental Advisors and
Chair of the Board of Trustees of Grinnell College.
is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gaz
Metro. He is responsible for business development at Gaz Métro and
its subsidiaries. He is also responsible for tax and financial
activities, information technology and strategic planning. Despars
joined Gaz Métro in 1991, and serves on a variety of energy-related
boards including Northern New England Energy Corporation, Vermont
Gas (where he currently serves as Chair), Green Mountain Power
Corporation, and Intragaz.
Gilbert, Attorney at Law, is a director of Vermont Gas. He has
served as Executive Vice President of Fletcher Allen Health Care and
a trustee of the University of Vermont. In the public sector he
served as an Assistant Attorney General, Deputy Secretary of the
Vermont Agency of Human Services, Public Service Board Chair, as
well as Commissioner of the Department of Public Service. Mr.
Gilbert also served as Vermont Secretary of Administration, and
legal counsel to the late Governor Richard A. Snelling.
Robert Tessier has an extensive background as a corporate director and senior executive in both the private and the public sector. Before being appointed Chairman of the Board of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, he worked with Gaz Métro, first as President and Chief Executive Officer as well as Chairman of the Board. His past positions have included President and Chief Executive Officer of Marine Industries Limited and Alstom Canada. In the public sector, Mr. Tessier spent several years as a senior civil servant with the Gouvernement du Québec in such roles as Secretary of the Conseil du trésor, Québec’s Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Executive Vice President of the Société générale de financement du Québec.
Mr. Tessier is Chair of the Investors Group Funds Independent Review Committee. He is also Chairman of the Board of Green Mountain Power and of the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) of the Université de Montréal. He also sits on the board of the Institute of Corporate Directors – Quebec Chapter. He has sat on a number of boards, including those of CGI Group, AXA Canada, Centraide of Greater Montréal, the Conseil du patronat du Québec, the Conference Board of Canada, the Foundation of Greater Montreal and the Montreal Heart Institute.
